RedDot Award 2019 in the category Brands & Communication Design to Maestro Active, the new human-machine interface made by NiEW for SCM Group!

Already awarded with a special mention by the German Design Award in 2018, Maestro Active is a concept of the corporate operating system realized by NiEW, declined on all the product lines of SCM Group devices, key Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT. The aim was to create a single interface across all the technologies of the Group, which in addition to meeting the most innovative requirements of contemporary IT design, allows any operator, regardless of language, cultural background or professional experience, a direct and confident access to very different machines. 

From September 2019, every new Salvagnini system is controlled and managed thanks to FACE, the new interface born from the collaboration with NiEW. In the contemporary industrial landscape, the human-machine interface plays an important role for the commercial success of a system because it is one of the main points of contact between manufacturer and user of each technology, that can consolidate the perceived value of the product. In fact the increasingly evolved digital approach of operators has helped to change its expectations: today even in the industrial world, the automatic system ​“experience use” dedicated to production must meet usability and accessibility criteria equal to those provided by the simplest consumer products.
